Shuttlepack

Hawkmoth

The Hawkmoth Shuttlepack bag effortlessly moves from your back to your front, providing quick and easy access to your belongings.

The Brief

Design, develop and build a fully functional prototype that is both aesthetically pleasing and representative of the final product.

The prototype must demonstrate to potential investors the USP, form and functionality of the Shuttlepack.

The primary focus is the apparatus that facilitates repositioning of the bag from rear to front, and back again.

The design and manufacture of the bag will be outsourced, but managed by the product design team to work in conjunction with supporting apparatus and components.

Requirements

  • Comfort - The bag must be comfortable in both the front and rear position.

  • Ergonomic, robust locking mechanism - The locking mechanism must be strong enough to resist accidental decoupling while being simple to use.

  • Ease of use effectiveness - The bag should require simple, minimal interaction from the user to reposition to the front, and rear positions.

  • Recognisable as a backpack - The product should not look too dissimilar to traditional backpacks found in market.
